Pokud je p\u0159elit\u00ed ov\u0161em velmi v\u00fdrazn\u00e9 (n\u011bkdo si \u0159ekne \u201erad\u0161i z pilnosti naliju v\u00edc\u201c), dojde k tomu, \u017ee ot\u00e1\u010dej\u00edc\u00ed se klikov\u00e1 h\u0159\u00eddel olejovou n\u00e1pl\u0148 doslova na\u0161leh\u00e1 do p\u011bny, a ta pak p\u0159estane optim\u00e1ln\u011b mazat. Paradoxn\u011b tak dojde k zad\u0159en\u00ed motoru a jeho po\u0161kozen\u00ed je podobn\u00e9, jako kdybychom olej v motoru t\u00e9m\u011b\u0159 nem\u011bli v\u016fbec.   M\u011bstsk\u00fd provoz Je zn\u00e1mo, \u017ee motor je nejv\u00edce opot\u0159ebov\u00e1v\u00e1n v m\u011bstsk\u00e9m provozu, kde se jezd\u00ed na krat\u0161\u00ed trat\u011b syst\u00e9mem vyp\u00edn\u00e1n\u00ed motoru na k\u0159i\u017eovatk\u00e1ch a v kolon\u00e1ch (start-stop). Motor je v nejv\u011bt\u0161\u00ed z\u00e1t\u011b\u017ei pr\u00e1v\u011b v okam\u017eiku jeho startu a kr\u00e1tce po n\u011bm, kdy nen\u00ed dostate\u010dn\u011b maz\u00e1n, proto\u017ee se olejov\u00e1 sm\u011bs je\u0161t\u011b nedostala do v\u0161ech jeho \u010d\u00e1st\u00ed. Nejv\u00edce mu naopak sv\u011bd\u010d\u00ed, kdy\u017e pracuje v optim\u00e1ln\u00edch ot\u00e1\u010dk\u00e1ch, dostate\u010dn\u011b zah\u0159\u00e1t\u00fd na provozn\u00ed teplotu, a t\u00edm p\u00e1dem je dob\u0159e mazan\u00fd. Pr\u00e1v\u011b do m\u011bstsk\u00fdch provoz\u016f a \u010dast\u00fdch start\u016f a kr\u00e1tk\u00fdch \u00fasek\u016f (denn\u00ed popoj\u00ed\u017ed\u011bn\u00ed na n\u00e1kupy apod.) se hod\u00ed p\u0159id\u00e1vat do olejov\u00fdch sm\u011bs\u00ed tzv. magnetick\u00e9, nebo titanov\u00e9 \u010d\u00e1stice. Ty ulp\u00edvaj\u00ed spolu s olejovou vrstvou na st\u011bn\u00e1ch kovov\u00fdch sou\u010d\u00e1st\u00ed a napom\u00e1haj\u00ed maz\u00e1n\u00ed ve chv\u00edli, kdy je\u0161t\u011b nen\u00ed kr\u00e1tce po startu dostate\u010dn\u00fd tlak oleje, aby do v\u0161ech z\u00e1hyb\u016f pronikl.  Miner\u00e1ln\u00ed, nebo syntetiku Zjednodu\u0161en\u011b \u0159e\u010deno, syntetick\u00e9 oleje jsou v\u00edce rafinovan\u00e9, tedy pro\u0161ly del\u0161\u00edm destila\u010dn\u00edm cyklem, a maj\u00ed tud\u00ed\u017e zpravidla del\u0161\u00ed \u017eivotnost. Znamen\u00e1 to, \u017ee se mohou m\u011bnit v del\u0161\u00edch \u010dasov\u00fdch intervalech. Jsou ov\u0161em podstatn\u011b dra\u017e\u0161\u00ed.
